Getting Rid of Chairs

Is it possible that getting rid of chairs and replacing them with exercise balls with increase student health and achievement? Some definately believe both are possible.

There's a book called "The Chair" by Galen Krantz. It traces the history of the chair and how it is based more in tradition than in providing an ergonomic base for sitting. The bottom line of the book is that back injuries could be reduced substantially if people moved to a recliner-type setup--what's known as the "lazy Z."
