I've heard a lot about ReadWriteThink over the past year or so. The 5th grade teachers down the hall talk about it a lot. I guess that I'll have to check it out! I'm always looking for new resources to use.

My class just read a picture book that would tie in perfectly with this study! It's a historical fiction book that gives information about the first thanksgiving. It's called "Thanksgiving in the White House" by Gary Hines. The book is available in the Scholastic Lucky (November) book order.

I teach high school but I think the Thanksgiving activities could definitely be adapted for older students.
